The Winter Weather Prediction Center is run by Brindle Weather and provides daily snow, ice, and sleet forecasts for the Mid-Atlantic region. Brindle Weather also issues winter weather alerts when an area is expected to see hazardous winter weather. Forecasts are only done during winter months.
The Winter Weather Tracker IAD is updated regularly and includes statistics on winter weather measurements, including snowfall totals and ice accretion. NWS winter weather alerts for the area are also tracked. The Winter Weather Tracker's statistics apply to IAD, or Dulles International Airport, which is one of the largest international airports in the Mid-Atlantic.
The 2nd update for the Winter Forecast 2025-2026 has been released. At least 1 more update is anticipated this year. This is the temperature, precipitation, and snowfall outlook for this winter in the United States. A yearly Winter Forecast has been released by Brindle Weather every winter since 2023.
